Through A Shattered Glass.
This story was written by me, but the idea itself was no conception of mine. But as I wrote along, I grew quite fond of the characters in this story; I think it has become something of a dream, albeit a very sad one. I hope you enjoy this short piece of work and remember, I wrote it. Not you. So hands off. Through a Shattered Glass By Adi Putra Written by Celleron   It was during the last moments...

Computers are a precious commodity.
It’s how people seem to sit in front of the public computers in the De Anza ATC to do their worksheets. With pen and paper. The computer here becomes not the main medium in which one pours their collective attention, swimming in that sea of information colloquially called the internet (It’s made of pure win or so I’ve been told); it then becomes a backseat companion, where the...

Ludicrous. Apparently the sight of sun-tanned (read: women who aren’t subjected to some barabric syari’a law) women would cause some localized ‘eruptions’ to Iranian males. Come on UN, flex your marginally-useless judicial powers! Isn’t this kind of thing grounds for a sanction?

Pandora.fm
So during a particularly chatty KHQ grind (loving the double XP weekend) last night the Sorcerer in the party said something about how “the ads in Pandora are driving me crazy!” Now in all my gladiatorial innocence, I asked: “What’s Pandora?” I was answered with a cryptic URL which I though at first was a spam site. I was greeted instead with a sterile white site...

It’s Chopin. Not Show-pun. Not Chow-peen, Sha-pong or even the dreaded Show-pan. Jesus people, the guy’s an amazing composer and pianist with a tragic history, the least you could do is say his freakin’ name right.

All manners of Englars and Engill that can be...
In hindsight to my previous post, I would suggest some Album Leaf, M’um, or Red House Painters if no Sigur Ros songs are present (shame on you if so). Not in the mood to brave the weather for a CD? No money to buy shit online? That’s why torrents are made cheapskate, go. Get it

And All the Englars are from Scandinavia
So it’s rather chilly here in lil’ Cupertino and warm and cozy inside a heated room with the soft, falsetto-laden croons made by Jonsi of Sigur Ros fame. If you have any of his songs on your iTunes/Winamp/WMP, I suggest you put one right now. Anything. Drift through the dreamy nonsense and stare out of your bedroom window on the encroaching gloam of twilight. If you managed to spot...

Africa and Ebola. Uh.
I am never going to Africa, no never. If you don’t die because of the massive ongoing civil wars that seem to explode on a regular basis, you die of the rampant wild animal attacks and if you’re lucky enough to avoid those two, you get EBOLA. Yes folks, Ebola is still there in Africa and let me tell you that it is by far the most scary and fucked up disease there is. Like HIV/AIDS,...

South Korea.
Interesting event today, just now after I left the house for some much-needed break from Aion (I play a Gladiator in the Siel server), I helped a Korean family push their gasless, spanking-new Toyota Prius to a nearby Safeway parking space, I think now the father still loudly laments on why AAA hasn’t come to their rescue yet. It seems that recently things and people originally from South...

How The Pirate Bay Will Be Legalized →
hellogirlfriend: New info on the logistics of the turnover. GGF, the folks buying Pirate Bay, say that copyright holders will be allowed to either authorize torrents on Pirate Bay or have them removed. One thing I don’t miss being in Bali is being molly-coddled by the parents. Yes, despite providing me with free (relatively) and comfortable room and board, they also conveniently forgot the fact that I’m not a fucking MINOR - and have not been for two years. Of Chopins and Poles.
Currently listening to Chopin’s Nocturne no.2 in E-flat major Op.55. Specifically, the first 8 seconds of it. Do listen to that piece, it has one of the most amazing intro for a classical composition (Claire de Lune not withstanding). Truly Chopin is Polish piano at its best.

Bali Shopping
Was very eventful, got a Wrangler jacket for less than $50, a pair of Sanuk slip-ons for less than $60 and got stuck in traffic for an hour. Mom also made a delicious Thai-style sea bass. It was poached to perfection, the fish flaked like snow and the lime just tops it off perfectly. Oh it’s great to be back in Bali.
